Damage comes from humble beginnings. Founded in Fort Wayne, Indiana, by brothers (left to right) Tony, Alex, and TJ Gillespie, the band is known for their harsh, chaotic riffs and frontman Alex Gillespie’s distinctive, shrill, wailing screams. The group defies standard genre boundaries while being labeled simply as Indiana hardcore. Damage combines elements of metalcore and hardcore punk, with influences from death metal and noise, set to brooding lyrics that explore dark, introspective themes of grief, religion, and death.
Damage brings an undeniable energy to the stage with strong live performances that grow their audience with every show. coming from nothing, damage is unrelenting in their quest to make something of themselves while bearing their teeth and showing their roots. This aggressive dedication can be heard in their self-titled EP, “Damage”, available now on their website for purchase or for streaming on all major platforms.

Damage’s self-titled EP “Damage” is a culmination of months of hard work and tireless dedication towards crafting their new sound as they transitioned to a new genre. “Damage” is a reflection of their DIY sound and attitude, with each track serving as an example of different sounds and perspectives. “Slip” opens the EP with traditional hardcore punk roots. It’s fast, aggressive, and grooves with attitude. “Loss” is an intense and heavy track that calls back to the band's metal roots, telling the story of a man stuck in the afterlife after rejecting death. “Omen” is the heaviest track on the project with heavy beatdown and slam influence. Short, sweet, and guaranteed to move a crowd. “Stuck” finishes out the EP on a strong note, featuring heavy metalcore influence and nihilistic lyrics. It blends Damage’s sound, influence, and intentions together into one hell of an outro track.
“Damage” is an introduction to the band and provides just a taste of what’s to come.
